In memory Dr. Albert Mink

Dr. Albert L. Mink Jr., 65, of Jonesboro died Friday, Sept. 6, 2002 at St. Bernard's Medical Center. He was the dean of the College of Engineering at Arkansas State University, where he had taught since 1966. He received his bachelor's degree from Arkansas State University, his master's from Louisiana State University, and his Ph.D from Oklahoma State University. He was a member of Gamma Sigma Delta and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies; the American Society of Agricultural Engineers, Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity; Indian Club; American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers; and was an honorary member of the American Society of Testing Materials. He was the author of four publications and was a member of several campus and college committees.
Survivors include one daughter, Marlette Mink Stevenson of Jonesboro; his mother, Lorene Mink of Brookland; three brothers, Bud Mink of Doniphan, Mo., Donald Mink of Brookland and Jerry Mink of Paragould; two sisters, Brenda Elder of Brookland and Jan Zuetell of Boulder, Colo.; and one grandson, Cole Stevenson of Jonesboro.
